For the first time since its 2001 game against UCLA, the Trojans are underdogs (currently +3) in a Pac-10 game today. However, SC won that 2001 game 27-0, and they won blowout victories against the last 3 teams who were favored against them: Auburn (Leinart’s first game), Oklahoma (national title game), and Michigan (2007 Rose Bowl). Pete Carroll announced Thursday that sophomore Mark Sanchez would make his third consecutive start at quarterback for the Trojans on Saturday against Oregon, despite some improvement in the condition of injured John David Booty this week.
