Austin transfer official
Sophomore forward Kyle Austin will become the fourth Trojan player to transfer out of coach Tim Floyd’s program when he leaves USC at the semester break, he announced on Tuesday. Austin is seeking to go to a Big West school (such as Long Beach or Santa Barbara) where he feels he will be able to secure more playing time. The forward played just two minutes for USC this season before injuring his back. He averaged 1.4 points in 7.3 minutes last season, playing in 17 games.

Jason, do you think it’s a “bad” thing that Floyd has now had 4 transfers during his relatively short tenure? Or is this just a consequence of recruiting so many good players to a team that only has so many minutes to distribute? Also, do we realistically think that Austin would have contributed in a significant way in the future?
so says Marc, December 18th, 2007 at 7:43pmBest Players play… if the other’s can’t handle that, then too bad. I would have been more sympathetic… until the reserves lost to Fresno Pacific… which made me believe that Floyd has made good personnel decisions this year… the Stags intramural team at should beat Fresno Pacific!
