Austin to transfer?

The Los Angeles Times reported in today’s editions that sophomore forward Kyle Austin has spoken with coach Tim Floyd about potentially transferring out of USC at the semester break. Austin has rarely seen the floor in his short Trojan career, and presumably would move to a school that would offer him more playing time. Regardless of whether or not he does transfer, however, the forward will likely miss the remainder of the 2007-08 season with a back injury that he sustained in practice last month. (He will be eligible for a medical redshirt this season if he is unable to return.)
