Extra parking for UCLA game at Staples Center

It seems to have finally occurred to USC officials that there just aren’t enough parking spaces available near the Coliseum. For Saturday’s contest against UCLA–which, mind you, is exactly as sold out as most of the other Trojan games this year–additional parking will be made available at the Staples Center, with a free shuttle running between the two venues. A similar setup was in place several years ago, although it was eliminated when construction near the Staples Center reduced the amount of spaces available.

For Saturday, parking will be available for $25 at Staples Center lots 4 and 5. (You’ll want to use Lot 5, which is on 12th St. between Figueroa and Flower. Another alternative is to use one of the numerous private parking lots in the same vicinity.) The free shuttle bus will begin running at 8:00am from Flower & Pico, and will drop passengers off on Exposition across from Gate 2 of the USC campus. The buses will continue running until one hour after the conclusion of the game.
