Ellis picks up first All-American award of year
USC defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis was named to the 2007 American Football Coaches Assocation All-American first team, the first such list announced for the year and likely the first of many such announcements for Ellis. The senior, who was also a first-team All-American last year, is still in the running for the Lott Trophy and the Bednarik Award, which will be announced at the end of the season.
