Jackson, Davis honored
A pair of Trojan football players learned of individual honors early this week. DE Lawrence Jackson’s four-sack performance against Arizona State on Thanksgiving earned him player-of-the-week honors both nationally (via the Walter Camp Football Foundation) and in the Pac-10. And senior Fred Davis was named one of three finalists for the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation’s top tight end. Davis, who leads the Trojans with 49 receptions, will learn on December 6th whether or not he is the winner.
