Trojans hold at #11
USC held at #11 in this week’s AP and BCS rankings after a weekend that saw the Trojans–and their next opponent–idle. The Trojans did move up one spot (from 13 to 12) in the USA Today and Harris polls.
Oregon’s loss last Thursday means that 7th-ranked Arizona State now sits atop the Pac-10 standings, and the Sun Devils will host the Trojans on Thursday evening. USC is currently in third place in the conference, but can still move past the Sun Devils and Ducks and win its sixth-straight Pac-10 title if they beat ASU and UCLA and if Oregon fails to win its two remaining games (which are against unpredictable UCLA and a solid Oregon State squad). The Ducks will be without the services of injured quarterback Dennis Dixon for the remainder of the season.
