Lou Galen, the USC alumnus and trustee who provided the bulk of the funding for the campus’ new Galen Center arena, died on Monday at the age of 82. Galen and his wife, Helene, donated $35 million to help construct the new home of the Trojan basketball and volleyball teams, after earlier providing funding for other academic and athletic facilities on campus.
