Trojans at #18 in first coaches’ poll

Rankings in the preseason ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll for men’s basketball were revealed today, with USC sitting in the #18 spot. Free scrimmage on Sunday

The Trojan men’s basketball team will hold a free, intrasquad scrimmage this Sunday (October 28) at the Galen Center at 1:00p. Prior to the scrimmage, at 9:00a, the team is also sponsoring the second annual “Dribble for the Cure” charity event.

Sanchez gets the start

Pete Carroll announced Thursday that sophomore Mark Sanchez would make his third consecutive start at quarterback for the Trojans on Saturday against Oregon, despite some improvement in the condition of injured John David Booty this week. We’ll have status updates on some of the other Trojan injuries later this evening.
