Trojans at #18 in first coaches’ poll
Rankings in the preseason ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll for men’s basketball were revealed today, with USC sitting in the #18 spot. North Carolina edged out UCLA for the top spot in the poll, with Trojan nonconference opponents Memphis and Kansas at #3 and #4, respectively. Other Pac-10 teams landing in the top 25 include #10 Washington State, #13 Oregon, #17 Arizona, and #21 Stanford. USC finished the 2006-07 season ranked #15 in the coaches’ poll.
The preseason AP poll has not yet been released.
