USC sophomore forward Taj Gibson was named one of the 50 preseason candidates for the Wooden Award All-American Team on Wednesday. Ultimately, ten players are selected annually for the team, which is announced during the NCAA Tournament in March. While freshmen are not considered for the preseason watchlist, they can be added as candidates during the season when the Midseason Top 30 list is announced in January.
