Stanford QB out for USC game
Stanford quarterback TC Ostrander suffered a seizure on Sunday and, although early tests did not indicate any problems, he will be held out of Saturday’s game against USC as a precaution. The Cardinal will start Tavita Pritchard in his place. At a press conference today, Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh had this to say about Pritchard:
“[He] is an athletic guy. He throws the ball very accurately. We’re excited for him to play.”
Pritchard, a 6′4″ sophomore, played sparingly as a receiver and at quarterback last season, failing in his only passing attempt. He has appeared in just one game this season, completing one of two passes and rushing for 18 yards on one carry.
