Sunday injury notes: let the healing begin
- C Kris O’Dowd will likely be out two to three weeks with a dislocated kneecap. An MRI revealed that OG Chilo Rachal sprained the medial collateral ligament in his knee which could force him out of the Stanford game and possibly more. Alatini Malu, Zack Heberer and Thomas Herring will vie for Rachal’s starting spot, while Matt Spanos continues to man the center spot.
- CB Shareece Wright is expected to miss one or two weeks with a strained hamstring. Cary Harris may return this week, but if not, Mozique McCurtis will start opposite Terrell Thomas.
- Stafon Johnson wore a protective boot on Sunday after being stepped on at the end of the Washington game. MRI results are not yet know, but Pete Carroll said it appears Johnson has a bruise or a sprain. C.J. Gable will also be examined this week. If neither player is available for the Stanford game, it appears Allen Bradford and Hershel Dennis will crack the tailback rotation. Joe McKnight had no carries and only one ball thrown to him against Washington, Carroll noting, “We just didn’t get into a rhythm of playing with him.”
