Looking ahead to Washington
The top-ranked Trojans (3-0, 1-0) head to Seattle on Saturday for their first Pac-10 road contest of the season, against the Washington Huskies (2-2, 0-1). The Huskies lost their Pac-10 opener last weekend, falling to UCLA 44-31. However, earlier this season, they did defeat a then-ranked Boise State team, 24-10.
Washington is lead this year by dual-threat freshman quarterback Jake Locker, who leads the team in passing and rushing. USC has defeated the Huskies in their last five contests, holding on to win last year’s game at the Coliseum 26-20 despite a last-minute march downfield by the Huskies which saw time expire with Washington at the Trojan 15-yard line.
Here’s USC’s official injury report, as of Monday morning:
- PROBABLE: LB Brian Cushing (ankle), TE Jimmy Miller (back).
- POSSIBLE: CB Vincent Joseph (larynx), FB Alfred Rowe (concussion).
- OUT: CB Cary Harris (shoulder), S-CB Josh Pinkard (knee), C Matt Spanos (triceps), OGC Nick Howell (hernia), TB Broderick Green (foot), CB Kevin Thomas (shoulder), OT Martin Coleman (shoulder), DE Trey Henderson (knee), WR Damian Williams (shoulder).
The game will begin at 5:00p and be televised by ABC. The Trojans are favored by 21.5 points.
