Rivals is reporting early Friday morning that Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral junior wide receiver Randall Carroll immediately committed to USC after being offered a scholarship this week. The speedy Carroll, who played running back last year before being moved to receiver for the 2007 season, also runs track, and actually placed third in the state in the 100m in 2006.

Carroll (no relation to the Trojan head coach) becomes USC’s third verbal commitment for the class of 2009.
