Pete Carroll on going wire-to-wire as no. 1
He had a break from this question last year, but the press seems to want to know the same thing from USC Coach Pete Carroll just about every fall: How difficult is it to go wire-to-wire as the number 1 team in the polls? Ben Malcolmson quotes the coach:
If you’re good enough, you do it. We’ve always handled it real proud. The key to it all is to practice real well and then the game comes around and we just take care of it. We feel real comfortable with it.
Carroll continued on the subject with Scott Wolf: “The biggest task is to indoctrinate the guys who haven’t been here before, the young guys.”
