Weber illustrates Trojans’ good problem at running back

Dan Weber of The Press-Enterprise provides his readers with a very vivid and tangible sense of how difficult a job it will be for the Trojan coaching staff to allocate playing time to the running backs this season. As the rejuvenated soph Stafon Johnson puts it, “You can’t take even a single play off.” While this furious competition among the stacked tailback field will hopefully produce two or three very solid athletes at the top of the depth chart, soph Emmanuel Moody provides his insight on what will be the ends of this Darwinian process:

When it comes game time, I know there’s only going to be one person out there on the field. Just one guy, with just one football. And the other guys aren’t going to be there, and that’s where it’s going to be chaos for the ones on the sidelines. If it’s me there, then it’s me.
