Trojan senior QB John David Booty has added to his preseason honors by being named to the watchlist for the Manning Award, which is presented annually to the top college quarterback. Unlike similar awards, the Manning (which was won by Matt Leinart two seasons ago) is awarded after the bowl season, so postseason performance is taken into consideration. Booty is also receiving official consideration for the Maxwell Award, given to the top player in the country, and is among the very early favorites for the Heisman Trophy.
