WeAreSC previews the 2007 defense and special teams

WeAreSC.com’s Erik McKinney continues his comprehensive Trojan player survey by evaluating each of the athletes on the defense, including all 15 DLs, 12 LBs, 6 CBs, and 9 safeties. 
With the exception of the returner position (which is wide open), McKinney also examines each of the special teams players, including the 3 kickers, 2 punters, and 2 snappers.

Carroll will throw the freshmen in early

Scott Wolf is reporting in the LA Daily News that Pete Carroll “wants to get a long look” at heralded freshmen RB Joe McKnight and DE Everson Griffen, among others, during training camp, and he wants to see them play with the starters.  Carroll adds,
