WR Butler commits to USC

Norcross (Georgia) wide receiver Brice Butler announced at a press conference Saturday afternoon that he will be attending the University of Southern California in 2008. The highly-recruited, 6′2″, 190 lb wideout had narrowed his college choice down to four schools (including LSU, Notre Dame, and Florida State) just prior to the announcement.

USC already has two previous commitments from wide receivers for the class of 2008, and has outstanding offers to another three who are still undecided (including Scout’s overall #1 wideout, Julio Jones). Butler becomes the Trojans’ 13th verbal commit so far.

Butler is rated 4 stars and the #12 receiver in the nation by Rivals, and 5 stars and the #6 receiver in the country by Scout. His father Bobby played in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons.
