Bootleg’s USC profile: schedule and lack of intensity concerns
Daniel Novinson of Stanford’s Bootleg.com website evaluates the 2007 Trojans and predicts they have about a 30 - 35% chance to win the national title. The writer’s major concern for SC is its schedule, as the Trojans will face 5 of its 6 toughest games on the road, and it’s potential lack of intensity:
The majority of these guys have already proven themselves and are looking at millions of dollars in a matter of years, if not months. Where is the incentive to give 100 percent every practice?
As Bootleg correctly points out, intensity shouldn’t be a concern against Stanford after Jim Harbaugh told everyone who would listen that Pete Carroll will be bolting for the NFL in the not-too-distant future.
