Turner: “Patterson could be a shocker”
In an interview with Erik McKinney of WeAreSC.com last week, Patrick Turner explained that he’s embracing his leadership role and knows that he needs to be more of a vocal leader. Interestingly, he predicts that even though Joe McKnight has looked “real good” in the 7-on-7s, it’s one of his smaller teammates who could be making the big impact in 2008:
Travon Patterson is a guy who could be a shocker to some fans this season… He’s a smaller guy, but he has great speed. He’s a playmaker out on the field and I think we’ll have some plays designed especially for him because of his speed. He’s a threat.
