Fred Lynn inducted into College Baseball Hall of Fame

Fred Lynn, winner of three College Baseball World Series titles with the Trojans (1971, 1972 and 1973), was inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday.  After graduating from USC, Lynn won Rookie of the Year and MVP honors with the Boston Red Sox in 1975, a first for that particular same-season double-honor.  Lynn became the second Trojan Hall of Fame inductee after long-time head coach Rod Dedeaux joined the hall last year.

Among the other 10 Hall of Fame inductees named yesterday were Jim Abbott of the University of Michigan (and California Angels), Pete Incaviglia of Oklahoma State, and John Olerud of Washington State.
