The Boston Celtics held a press conference on Monday to introduce its new players, who include second-round draftee Gabe Pruitt. The guard said that he was expecting the Pistons to pick him at 27th in the first round:

“I was told Detroit had guaranteed a spot for me. When that didn’t happen, I had to sit there sweaty and anxious.”

Pruitt will make his debut in the NBA’s Las Vegas summer league on Friday night. Among his teammates will be fellow Pac-10 veteran Leon Powe.
