Scott Wolf is reporting that redshirt junior DE Gerald Washington, who sat out all of last season (his first at USC after transferring from a JC) with an injured knee, may miss the upcoming season as well as a result of the same injury. Although recruited as a tight end, he was projected to backup Kyle Moore on the defensive line in 2007 (although the arrival of Everson Griffen likely would have pushed Washington further down the depth chart). No other source has confirmed the injury information yet.
